Woad Farm Project

Helping young people who are struggling with their mental health.

Using animals and nature to support young people to thrive.

What do we do?

The Woad Farm Project is a not-for-profit farm, set up to support the wellbeing of children and young people in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

We have a particular focus on looked after or care-experienced children, but are driven by the opportunity to share the benefits of animals, nature and the outdoors to all children.

Sessions leaders are fully DBS checked and First Aid trained too.

How do we help

Home school sessions

These sessions take place every week for children and young people who are home schooled. We provide a learning environment which can be responsive to the group in a setting which nurtures creativity and builds resilience. Book via our event page

6 week referral programme

This rolling 6-week block is designed for children and young people who have experienced trauma or have social, emotional or mental health needs. Groups are limited to 5 children. Next group starts after February half term

Group and school bookings

If you are thinking of bringing a group of children, we offer the opportunity to book sessions by the hour with a dedicated session leader to support learning and ensure children enjoy the farm environment. Email [email protected] to find out more and to book.

1:1 sessions

These sessions offer children individualised access to our therapeutic spaces, offering a nature based, child-led approach.
